Mercedes AMG CLK DTM: HW

Left: Mercedes AMG CLK DTM from Hot Wheels Dream Garage 2009
Right: AMG-Mercedes CLK DTM from Hot Wheels Stars 2008
It may look like the old C-Class, but that's where the similarities end. The Mercedes CLK DTM AMG is powered by AMG's supercharged 5.4L V8, producing 582hp with 800Nm of torque, propelling the car from a standstill to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds. Keep on flooring the pedal, and you will eventually hit the top speed of 320km/h. At least that's what wiki says. I'm not really a big fan of Mercedes, but I have to admit that this particular model looks pretty good. Wide body, huge side scoops, and a GT wing separates this monster from the dull looking C-Class.

And you thought the Subaru Impreza would be the only car that looks good with gold rims.

Yes, it's still the same car. The CLK DTM, not an Impreza.

This one doesn't look as exciting as the previous one (with the golden rims and flame decals). But the headlights are at least painted.

Nissan 350Z: Matchbox

Managed to grab hold of this beauty today...

Nissan 350Z from Matchbox Sports Cars 2008

I just love the 350z ever since I first saw it. It's one of the few japanese cars which manages to look simply beautiful, even without the aid of bodykits, spoilers, huge rims, etc. You know how sometimes the cars in the brochure look better than the ones in the showroom? The cars pictured in the brochures are usually the full-spec version, with sports rims the size of Saturn's ring, and bodykits with thousands of gaps, grills, and fins, and the car is lowered to the point that it will scrape the markings on the roads. But when you see the actual car, it looks rather dull, with rims no bigger than your dishes. The 350Z, however, is different. It looks absolutely stunning even with the stock trims. Yet it's not uncommon to see 350Z owners installing ridiculous bodykits with rear spoilers huge enough that you can use it as the second row seats. They might as well just take a park bench and screw it to the trunk of the car. It may be a matter of taste, but I seriously dont think a car which manages to look like a platypus is visually pleasing in any way. Anyway, back to the topic, I'm really glad my friend managed to get this 350Z for me. But my search is far from over. I'm still looking for the other 350Zs from Hot Wheels, particularly the gold and silver 350z from 2007 All Stars series (the ones with Top Secret tampos), the yellow 350z from 2006 First Editions, and the Mystery Car 350z from 2010. Other Hot Wheels cars in my wishlist:

Nissan 370z
Nissan Silvia S15
Nissan Skyline
2009 blue Ford GT LM
Speed Machines Ford GT LM
'70 Plymouth Superbird
Acura NSX (particularly the 2010 Speed Machines)
Speed Machines Scirocco GT 24

Scirocco GT 24: HW

I never really liked Volkswagen... until they came up with the Scirocco! It's hard to believe that the maker of the Beetle could actually make something as good looking as this... For the time being, these are the only Sciroccos I could actually afford... I'm seriously gonna buy the real car someday... in white... nyum nyum...

Who doesn't love American muscle cars?

American muscle cars. They're big, they're heavy, they're noisy, and they would crash everytime they try to take a corner. But I absolutely love 'em! Of course I wouldn't be able to afford one for the time being... and that's why I bought myself these!
