2008 Lancer Evolution: HW

Bought this one to complement the blue 2008 Lancer Evolution I bought previously. Thanks to kuku for this one. :)

2008 Lancer Evolution from Hot Wheels Nightburnerz 2010

I thought it would look ugly in green. Glad I was wrong.

Tampos are perfect.

Taillights are unpainted, as usual. I'm getting used to it though.

2008 Lancer Evolution: HW

Another unexpected haul from Parkson Selayang Mall, and this was the last unit!

I don't know about you guys, but I think the rims are a letdown. It looks kinda weird.

I know Waja owners love to mod their car to insane levels. So could someone please buy an Inspira and mod it to look exactly like this? That would be totally cool.

By the way, I already made a Need for Speed Shift version for this car some time ago, but I didn't make it in high resolution though. Here it is:

Mitsubishi 2008 Lancer Evolution: HW SM

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is quite a popular casting among Hot Wheels collectors. And it's a favourite among customizers as well, as you can see in one of my previous posts. Anyway, I've managed to get my hands on the Speed Machines Lancer Evolution a few days ago. I was hoping I could find the red one, but the white one is a beauty as well. Here it is:

Looks pretty good I must say. I thought it would look pretty lame in white. Guess I was wrong. Anyway, here's the Need for Speed Shift version:

Helang Lebuhraya Polis: PDRM's Lancer Evo X in 3D

Malaysian Royal Police's (PDRM) new patrol car: Police Highway Eagle (Helang Lebuhraya Polis). Despite the ridiculous name in Malay, this is one patrol car that you should not mess with, unless you're confident that your car could outrun a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.

Fancy taking a ride in this beast? Sure, no problem. All you have to do is:
A) Be a cop. Might take you a few years though, before they finally let you drive the thing. Or...
B) Be the bad guy. But then you could only sit at the back. No way the cop who arrested you would say "Hey, I'm a little tired from all the chase just now. Would you mind taking the wheel for a while?". Or...
C) Buy a Lancer Evolution X in Need for Speed, and customize it like this! :

This one doesn't have the lightbar on top of the car though... and the driver clearly forgot that he was supposed to chase the baddies, not race 'em...
(Click the pictures to get the full size version at 1364x768)

Now, what I did was just pasting a few vinyls here and there in Need for Speed. Pretty lame you might say. But what my friend did was simply amazing! Just take a look at his work:

Now this is something that you could only achieve if you have the passion and the talent. And he clearly has an enormous amount of both. Check out the full details of his masterpiece in his blog:

More Hot Wheels in 3D!

Here are some of my attempts to create more 3D versions of Hot Wheels casts, using NFS Shift's Visual editor. Comments are much appreciated. Thanks for viewing! :D

'08 Viper SRT10 ACR

Honda Civic Si

Chevy Camaro Concept (Treasure Hunt)

Dodge SRT8

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII from Hot Wheels Dropstars
(NFS Shift doesn't have the Lancer Evo VIII, so I used the Evo IX instead, which looks pretty similar)

*Pictures of the real cast, except for the Dodge SRT8, are taken from http://hotwheels.wikia.com/

Need for Speed: Hot Wheels?

Ever wondered what would happen if EA Games collaborated with Hot Wheels? Well, wonder no more. Just go to the "Paint", "Rims" and "Vinyl" options in Need for Speed: Shift, and make your own Hot Wheels in just a couple minutes. Here's what I did:

Ford GT LM

Scirocco GT 24

Nissan Silvia S15

Speed Machines: Mitsubishi 2008 Lancer Evolution (I don't have the real cast for this one. Picture of the real cast is courtesy of kukuspace. Thanks kuku!)

This one's the easiest: Nissan 370Z.

Only Hot Wheels? What about Tomica?
There you go! Hasemi Tomica Ebbro GT-R 2009 Sepang Spec.

Tomica Lorries!!

Normally, I would only buy die-casts of sports cars, Japan GT cars, American muscles, and some exotics, as you could see in my previous posts. I never thought I would buy anything else. But this week, I bought myself 4 lorries from Tomica! Not one, not two, not three, but four! Why? Let's take a look at them one by one to find out the answer.

The Mitsubishi Fuso Canter Sakai Moving Service. Apparently, JGTC cars aren't the only ones with ridiculously long names like the Hasemi Tomica Ebbro GT-R 2009 Sepang Spec.

The container's made out of plastic. The pictures on the container are just stickers. And the space within the container is practically useless. So why did I buy this particular lorry? Well... it's the panda! Is this the cutest lorry ever or what?

This is the Animal Carrier (Penguin). I'm not sure about the specific model of the lorry, but I do know it's a Nissan Diesel judging from the logo. Anyway, it doesn't matter what model it is. What matters is the cargo it's carrying!

Okay, the penguins are abnormally huge if you compare it to the size of the lorry. Relatively, they are about 2.5 meters tall, and that's friggin' huge! They should be joining the NBA instead of the zoo. But there's a reason Tomica made them that big. It's because they're cute and they need to be seen! If Tomica scaled down the penguins using the same ratio they scaled down the lorry, the penguins would only be 4mm tall, and that's about as big as a pinhead. And it wouldn't be as cute, provided you could even tell it's a penguin.

The back of the container could be opened. Don't worry about the penguins trying to escape, as they're literally glued to the floor of the container. I do pity the one lying on its tummy though. It's going to hurt like hell trying to rip off the chest hair glued to the floor.

Now let's move on to the third lorry. The Nissan Diesel Quon Tank Lorry. They really should stop giving long names to vehicles... Anyway, why did I buy this one even though there isn't a picture of a cute panda bear on it? Well, it's because...

It's because of the chrome container! For some reason, I think it looks really cool, even though it's really just plastic painted with chrome paint. Anyway, does anyone know the meaning of the Japanese character on the back of the lorry?

The Nissan Diesel Quon. And that's it. Looks like they're finally giving up on the names.

Here's a riddle: What's red, has 400bhp and gull-wing 'doors'? Hmm...

This is one of my favourites. I bought this one 'cos it has 'Tomica' written all over it.
